Big [B]Other HOW LATITUDES BECOME FORMS

February 02, 2003

berlin, an oasis galaxy of it's own.

so yes, i promised i will do the vlog thing, and i try to mantain my promise. i wont do vog's as adrian miles. vog's are interactive video weblogs which occur as a video only medium with sprites and objects and links and structures which might be similar in form to a hypertext, let's say the vog simulates the random memory of the brain, and the way the brain works making connections beetween ideas and ideas, so links and links that take you to more quicktime videofiles withing the vog.

my vlog is more like a videolog, that is, a chronological upload of videos which relate more to the pasage of time, and the space where i'm located (and yes, of course, all possible intrincate subjectivities), but as big [b]0ther is a project which happens more or less in same time and space (ok, different time zones, different citys in the world map, but same website, same net_time).

so ok, here's my feb 1 vlog, i'm a little late i know, but i'm also a little late to go to transmediale, and i really think i'm missing something i wlll later regret.

this is a vlog of my arrival to that oasis called berlin, it was the only snowless point i saw in all my trip from genéve to berlin. i don't know about you, but when i travel for a long time i have 2 ways of working: in one i drift without a specific point acting as the center of the radio, this is a good method of travelling, but then again i have to forget about the real world, forget about any kind of attachments located anywhere else. the other one is when i locate a city which will be more or less my headquarters, and in europe i have to say that berlin is always the one. the place i feel home. a home in itself.

vlog feb 1

(you'll need real player to be able to access the material in this vlog)

I love the vlog idea....and I gather you're touring europe at the moment, right? So all the more reason for vlogging. Great stuff.
